All the Information about the FREE Templates and the menu is summarized on this page.

Read on to find out what's included, and the details about the menu system. You can find more information elsewhere on this site about topics covered here, but this is the place to start and where you will find the download information for the FREE templates.

I recommend viewing the information here on this page even before going to the online store. The information here will answer many of your questions about creating a site using Microsoft FrontPage along with a contemporary DHTML/Javascript menu.

FrontPage Templates designed to work with DHTML/Javascript Menu's

Microsoft FrontPage Templates designed specifically to work with the best cross- browser compatible DHTML/Javascript Menu system.

SPECIAL OFFER - Here it is, and you don't even have to read through the entire page to find out what it is! Although you will want to because below I spell out a lot of information that you will definitely want to know about.

Before you spend a nickel, go to the bottom of this page and follow the instructions. Click on the link to our Product Information sign-up form, and select the information that you would like us to send.

You will then be emailed one or more links to all the information that you requested. (The templates, the video tutorials and or reports, and all the details. It's that simple.

I can't tell you how many times that I've heard a customer say something like... "I want a really cool looking site that has all the latest and greatest features. It needs to have the fancy drop-down or drop-down and pop-out menu's. It should be easy to design and update. We want to maintain the site ourselves, and by the way we really don't want to see a lot of code!"

What's the deal, right?

Let me clarify two items for you. 1) Why would I give you a FREE, totally working template if I'm selling templates, and 2) What's the deal with the "third-party" menu software company and their FREE version, that I've been talking about?

1) Why would I give you a FREE, totally working template, and then tell you where to get this great DHTML/Javascript application for FREE as well?

Really, you could use all this free "stuff" and just go off and be happy as a pig in mud, right? Yes that's true, but we are here to help our customers and clients solve problems and come up with real world, workable solutions. And quite frankly, once you see the "other" FREE stuff that we include with our "for sale", more robust templates, and all the features that we've built in to them, you'll see the value of the products that we provide. That's our hope anyway.

You're looking for a solution, right?

You are here looking at our site looking for a solution that includes 1) Microsoft FrontPage and 2) DHTML/Javascript menus. We provide the free template to use with the DHTML/Javascript menu to prove the case, and to show how easy it is to use both to provide the solution. To prove our case we provide you with a fully functioning template.

What's included in the FREE FrontPage Template ?

In the download we provide you with a sample site that includes several pages based on a single page style. It contains some of the following elements:

  • Header background graphic - (where your company logo could go)

  • Footer - this section of the page is implemented as an "Include file"

  • Navigation - this section of the page is implemented as an "Include file" (Note: two samples are available 1 with horizontal navigation across the top of the page and the other with left side navigation- choose either sample)

  • A sample Include file for news, events or other content.

  • Detailed instructions on the sample-template.htm page about all of the features included in the template.

  • 6 Additional pages of instruction in the demo folder to go along with the movies.

  • Two movie files (in the demo folder) to walk you through setting up your first menu (Note: there are multiple ways to insert the menu's into your pages, I cover Include files here.) (View the sample-template.htm page once you've downloaded the FREE Template)

  • Several page samples of the template for you to work with. (same page style)

Have I included all the bells and whistles in the FREE FrontPage Template? No

Does it include other FREE stuff? No, not really, unless you consider the detailed instructions on how to create your first menu, or the movie help file that contains a few extra tips. The design is simple, but has a lot of the elements that you'd want in designing a fully functional web site, besides that's what the "for sale", more robust templates are for. Be sure to check out the additional FREE items I include there!

Is the FREE FrontPage Template really FREE?

For the most part yes. All I ask is if you decide to use the FREE template, there is a link in the footer that came with the template to www.designsforthenet.com. It has for its' link text FrontPage Templates and should appear as such. Please do not change the link text and just leave the link on any pages that you use the template to create. That's all I ask.

Why is that important to me, you ask?

I might get a referral from your site from someone visiting your site, liking the design etc... You get the picture, plus I also get a vote, if you will, and yes there are other reasons but this is not a course on Internet Marketing.

Why would I give away a perfectly sellable template for FREE and only ask that you leave the link to my website there?

For several reasons. First, I obviously want you to like the products enough that you will want to purchase one of the more robust templates, or even design services, depending upon your needs. Second, I want even the FREE Sample Template to be good enough that you'd use it to build your site with, and I will end up with a link to my site!

Why would I include movie help files for the menu system and put together such a "nearly" complete package as a FREE sample?

Well it's obvious to me, but I want my customers to be successful, plain and simple. In the "for sale" or more robust templates you get all the above plus a whole lot more.

  • Additional include files

  • Additional graphics

  • There's even an eBook to help you get started in optimizing your site for the Search Engines!

If you are new to Internet Marketing and are not already an Internet Marketing Pro, the Search Engine Quick Start guide should be added to your MUST READ list. It covers a number of "On-Page Optimization" factors that you should pay attention to in designing your web pages. Again, written for my clients, as I want them to be successful.

Ask yourself this. Why do you have a web site in the first place? If it is not a personal web site, but a business site, or a site for your organization, I assume that you want your site to be found and rank well with the Search Engines. The Search Engine Quick Start guide, "What's in a Title Anyway?" will be an eye opener.

Ok, lets move on to the very cool menu system and more about it.

2) What's the deal with the "third-party" menu software company and their FREE version? Is it a full version?

Yes, it is a fully functioning version of their product. You should however read about the conditions on their web site, as I do not want to misrepresent their conditions, but basically they require a link to their site on those pages that you use the menu system. See the link on the download page to their site where you can download their very cool product, explore the site, and get more questions answered.

You're probably wondering by now, who are these guys with this great visual tool for generating the cool DHTML/Javascript menu's. Right? And why isn't their company name and links plastered everywhere on this site?

Well it's like this...I'm not selling their product. They don't have an Affiliate Program that I could make a 20 -30% commission on. I don't see a nickel from the sale of their product. When and if that ever happens, I'll have to change this page, but as of now I don't earn dime one if you buy their product.

Now with all that said, and at the end of the day, these guys have a great product that I know you are just going to love! How's that for a reccomendation!

I should tell you that even though they have a FULL Featured, FREE use version of the product, most of my customers purchase the product. They even have a multiple site developer version at very good prices, so if you are planning on developing menu's for multiple domains, be sure to check that out.

Their product is good enough, that I would design a product line of FrontPage Templates that were designed specifically to work with their very cool DHTML/Javascript menu's. Enough said....
